Participatory design is a design approach that attempts to actively involve all the stakeholders in the design process. A common method for involving external participants is organizing participatory design sessions. Participatory design sessions can be combined with other interaction design methods such as scenario-based design. Discussing the scenarios in a participatory design session can help to get a better understanding of users’ current experience and expectations towards the designed system.
